This outfit shows a simple way to take your skirts into the colder season. In case you didn't notice, this skirt is actually from one of our previous posts! I loved the simplicity, color, shape, and best of all, the price of it.

Forever 21 Geena Short Skirt ($19.80)
By adding a few other pieces, you can update your skirts. Although I love the grey, "fall-ish" color of this one, don't be afraid to try out your summer skirts either. Let's say you have a bright, floral piece. All you have to do is add some dark tights, brown boots, and a dark sweater/jacket and voila -- instantly transitioned into fall! And basically we took the same idea here.

Forever 21 Ribbed Tights ($5.80)
While basic black tights are fine, I thought to add a little interest to the same-shade bottom half, ribbed tights would be better. These days lace tights are very in, but if you don't think you're ready to take it that far, this is a great alternative. It gives the outfit some texture in a discreet way.

Charlotte Russe Buckle Boots ($39.99)
Boots are a fall and winter essential, and how can it not be after looking at how you can pair it with this outfit! The buckles on the side are a nice, minimalistic detail, which toughen up the whole look. And you can afford to get another pair in a different color with this budget-friendly price.

Delias V-Neck Boyfriend Cardigan ($44.50)
Even though this isn't cheap, I couldn't help myself because the color of this cardi is absolutely to die for! I'm in love with "royal" colors, especially this burgundy. They're a great way to add warmth to your outfits. And while in the summer you might tuck your tank top, try tucking in your long cardigans! It's different, refreshing, and shows off your shape without the need of a belt.

Alloy Agnes Scarf ($14.50)
To add a little zing, add a little scarf! Its mix of colors just pulls the whole outfit together, while giving it a bohemian vibe. You should have seen the outfit before I added the scarf (yawn, boring). This accessory is affordable and gives an otherwise drab outfit a whole new spin!

Urban Outfitters Flower Ring ($18.00)
Seeing that the scarf is your prime accessory, just add a unique ring. Any cocktail ring would look fabulous with this outfit, but I picked the flower ring since it continues off with that boho theme.

Alloy Saddle Up Bag ($39.50)
Finally the bag. What I love about it is its adjustable straps. By elongating it (like in here) it goes perfectly with the outfit's I-just-threw-this-on-without-even-thinking-about-it look. And right now brown bags are a must-have for this season!

If you guys didn't know, it's National Breast Cancer Awareness month. Now if you have already donated, then that's great! But I know a lot of you just don't have the opportunity or don't know where to start. An easy way is buying products that donate some of the proceedings to the charity. But sometimes that can be kind of shady (for lack of a better word). How do you know that they're actually going to the cause you think you're shopping for? I found these cute, belted flat boots for only $39.99 at Charlotte Russe. They're affordable, and don't look too fussy and are the perfect height. I'm still teeter-tottering on whether or not I will actually order a pair. But if anyone has any personal experience with these boots, please share!

Now that the days are getting shorter, I'm sure your skin is getting lighter. So why not put those bronzers away, and bring out the blush? Even if you absolutely can't live without your bronzer, you can always apply it underneath! Rosy cheeks will look amazing against your fall skin.

No matter what your price range, blush is fairly simple to shop for. While on a budget, Wet N Wild is my favorite make-up brand. They have every product for an inexpensive price. To get you started, here are four recommended blushes:

















(On the left): Wet N Wild Silk Finish Highlight and Contour Blush $4.98 (On the right): Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush $6.00. (Both items are available at most drugstores).

The great thing about the Silk Finish, besides it being extremely budget-friendly, is that it comes with three different shades. So you can use one by itself, or to create some depth, use all three! These come in four different variations, so you can choose which three colors you'd like depending on your skin tone. Tip: Don't forget to buy a medium size blush brush if you don't have one already!

I personally love the Dream Mousse because all it takes is a couple dabs of it on your fingers, and some blending to get a natural look. Plus, if you don't like powders this is a great alternative! I have the "Rose Petal" and it's subtle sheen gives me a nice radiance, even if I'm not wearing any other beauty products!

Bare Escentuals blush is perfect for you if you have sensitive skin like me. Mineral make up is less irritating than the regular kind. You can actually apply this blush lightly over your forehead and chin for a pretty glow, just like you'd do with bronzer! It comes in fifteen different shades, so you're bound to find the perfect one for you! (There are three shades that are only available online. Those three are $20.00 each).

Nars blush is a popular favorite from make up artists to beauty editors. It always goes on very naturally and the golden shimmer gives you an amazing glow. This is a great product if you're looking for a long-lasting, high quality blush. Don't be afraid to spend if you're going to use it often.

How-to apply blush

Now that you found the perfect blush, we're going to explain how to perfectly apply it! We don't want you to go out in public with two obvious streaks against your cheeks. Follow this simple step-by-step guide to avoid mistakes.

1. (Skip this part if you already found the shade that matches you best). The easiest way to avoid a blush mistake is by finding a shade that matches the color of your cheeks when you're flushed (for example, after exercising). Most people with fair or light skin look best in a rose or peach color, while people with dark skin look better in apricot or red.
2. If you buy a blush that comes with that small, can-barely-fit-into-a-doll's-hand brush, just chuck it out. You want to apply blush as naturally as possible, and by using a brush with such a small surface area as the one that's given, you're just asking for a beauty faux pas. Buy a full make up brush, and don't use the same one you use for your foundation. (Look here for some brushes if you don't have one already).
3. Now put the blush all over the top the brush, and tap it to get rid of the excess. Don't worry about it being too little. You can always re-apply. Now if this is your first time, look into the mirror and smile. This makes it easier for you to find the apples of your cheeks, where you should be applying the blush.
4. Apply the blush with a light hand over the apples of your cheeks. Blend, blend, and blend so you don't get "clown-ish" cheeks. You can also try blending upwards on your cheekbones, toward your temples to create some depth.
5. To finish it off, gently dust some translucent powder to ensure that the color stays on longer.

Extra Step: Like I said in the beginning, you can apply your bronzer along with your blush. It's very simple, and it's another great look to try! Before applying your blush, take some bronzer and dust it on your forehead, chin and nose for a sun-kissed sheen, even in the winter!

Would you like a banner for your blog/site but you don't know how to make one and just can't find one on the web that you like? Well then why not get us to make you your own custom banner? For a very small fee, we will make you your banner while you list everything you want on it! It's as simple as that.

Here are the different types that we're willing to do:
1. Tres Simple ($5)
Kind of like the one we have on right now on Style Tabloid, this is the one you'd choose if you want something fairly basic. For this pick, size is irrelevent to the cost!
- plain, one color background
- any width, height, size is okay!
- a word or few words of text
- optional: one, simple picture (like how we have a crown necklace!)

2. Inbetween ($7-$10)
We thought it'd be fair to have something in the middle of the really basic package and the extreme package. This is probably going to work for you if maybe you want a more complex background or a few more pictures. But overall the look is still going to be fairly simple.

- most of the time any size will be okay (unless the pictures/bkg will be hard to work with)
- a word or few words of text
- two to eight pictures (depending on size/complexity)

3. Collage ($15-$20)
This style is definitely more unique, and you can be sure it won't look like anyone elses. But of course this style definitely takes a lot more time and effort to create. This is why the size of your banner will affect the cost. The bigger it is, the more space we will have to fill.
- many, many pictures (which you must provide)
- width, height, and size will factor into the cost
- title is okay (but preferably not a lot of text, since it will just be lost in the pictures)
